About Steven

It’s now more than seven years ago since I’ve met Steven. The first time I let my eyes on him it was done! Love at first sight.

By now we’ve done some nice traveling in our holidays. The first time we’ve went camping in Switzerland and France. In 2001 Steven went to India for almost 6 months. This was sometimes hard and miserable, but we had lots of time emailing and calling. Steven had one of the best times of his live and wanted to share his experience with me. After four months I took an airplane to Bombay where we met. At last I could see, smell and hear what Steven had experienced his time in India. Together we traveled from Bombay to Trivandrum, the most southern city in India. From here we took a plane to Colombo in Sri Lanka. We have traveled around Sri Lanka for four weeks. In Sri Lanka we’ve had our first Asian cycling adventures after renting two bicycles.

The summer after these adventures we’ve been trekking with backpack in the north of Sweden. Steven had already done a lot of trekking. It was my first time camping in the wild and I really enjoyed it. It’s really great spending all day outside walking. Lovely to search for a good spot to camp.

The summer after this we’ve been to Vietnam. We started our journey in Hanoi and traveled in five weeks to Saigon. Again we’ve had lots and lots of great adventures together. In Vietnam we decided to plan this big trip around the world

I think it would be really great to cycle around the world with Steven by my side!!!!!

After more than a year of cycling next to Steven I can say: It’s really great to cycle with Steven around the world!” In Europe it was super to take a dive in the sea after a warm day of cycling, to put up our tent in the evening and to cook ourselves a meal. Steven is a great cook with only two pans! Sometimes the mountains of Turkey gave me some frustrations. Steven climbs easily a mountain. When I’m at the point of steaming and sweating, Steven is already at the top waiting for me………… In the ‘men world’ of Iran, Pakistan and India Steven took fantastic care of me. He almost didn’t leave my side to keep an eye on the men. And in Nepal it’s nice to see him play with the children and how he always manages to get a smile on everybody’s face.

Conclusion: I like to cycle further on with Steven!
