About a half year before the start of our journey we went to the Dutch MPHD (the GGD) to get ourselves informed about the health risks of our journey. We've explained about our plans and the countries we wanted to visit. For each of the countries they gave us advice about the health risks and the vaccinations we had to get.

For a long time we didn't know which insurance we had to pick. At last we had to choose the best out of tree insurances, Elvia, Oom and Isis. We've made our final choice with the help of the Joho Company. This is a Dutch company. Their goal is to start (inter)national centers for young people where they can find everything for working and traveling in foreign countries. BICYCLE REPAIR COURSE
We've followed a bicycle repair course at Cycle Trend in Groningen. The store gave us this course which was very handy for us. We both didn't have the knowledge about the repairing of our bicycles. In the past we only had to put some plasters on our tires, not more. During our cycling trip we'll have to do more repairing on our own. For the course we took our own bicycles. We've got a lot of useful tips and tricks for repairing our bicycles. Every part of the bicycle has been shown to us and the tools that are useful. After the course we've been practicing a lot on our bicycles. It's good to know how to repair your bicycle before you get on the road.
